A ‘taste’ of our future lives together

It is said that the ‘cake tasting’ and consultation for the wedding cake and dessert table is often the most memorable part of the wedding planning saga. Between booking the venue, hiring the coordinators, or picking linens the wedding cake tasting is often the most “fun” because you can pretty much just rest and have various desserts and cake slices brought to you. Some believe that the days of the wedding being about the cake is an old-fashioned custom that not many get excited about. But now there are more options and more design elements that let the special couple showcase their personality by custom designing a cake with me! There are what people refer to as groom cakes that often sit next to the “bride’s” cake that can be less about white and pastel roses and more about the groom or life partner’s favorite movie, band, or other unique persona. Younger crowds might not want to sit still and savor a slice of cake as much as have a few bites from a dessert shooter or even a cake pop. Possibilities are endless! Just remember that in all the hustle and bustle of planning a wedding - take moments to enjoy the memories created from the days leading up to the big day and enjoy those little bites of ‘sweet’ in between. Perhaps Marie Antoinette was talking to her cake bakers when she said “Let them eat cake!” Pictured is cake samples for my clients as blackberry vanilla. Other available flavors are carrot cake with browned butter buttercream, butterscotch chocolate crunch, red velvet with ermine frosting, “Konfetti” celebration cake, and many more!
